I have always been intrigued by Zaggoras Hot Pants, but just could not justify spending £70 on a pair of pants that may just be a gimmick... I'm not one to buy into things easily seems I work in marketing myself. However I was lucky enough to win a pair of Zaggora Viva Capri Hot-Pants* on my birthday in May.
My first experience with Zaggora weren't great as I had to wait for a month for my prize to arrive but when they did finally arrive I tried them on straight away as I was worried about the sizing. I had ordered a size S, as I was in-between a S-M size, and seems Zaggora claim you lose weight and inches in two weeks of wearing the pants then I thought I'd best get the small and slim into them. I was pleased to see that they did fit after a lot of squeezing, pulling and sweating! So armed with my new bright purple pants I took them out for a run.
The first thing you notice is the noise! Oh my word they are noisy! If you are a shy person then you probably don't want to be wearing bright purple noisy pants. However if you have thighs that don't touch then this won't effect you. So to put me off the noise I turned up my music and set off for a run. I actually felt quite confident when wearing the pants because they are like running in a pair of spanx... they pull in your tummy, legs and bum and are very flattering! It took me a little while to get used to the tightness of the pants, as they are obviously a bit more restricting than regular running leggings, however I could still run at my normal pace.
I really put my pants to the test when I attended bootcamp, as there is a lot of running, jumping and crawling. My fellow bootcampers thought it was very funny seems they could hear me before they could see me with my swishy pants. At bootcamp was when I first noticed the "Hot Pants" work. I was about half way through the class when I felt a trickling down my calf and found that my legs were sweaty so much because of the Zaggora pants that sweat was dripping down my thighs and seeping through the bottom of the pants and at parts through the seems. So the technology behind the pants definitely works, I sweat a hell of a lot more while wearing them. A little embarrassing walking home with a sweaty bum!
So do they work? Well Zaggora claim that their "Hot Pants technology" help you lose weight and inches quickly. I put my Zaggora pants to test for 6 weeks, wearing them 6 days a week for at least half an hour, and although I can’t say if I lost weight (I don’t weigh myself) I can say that I did lose inches. I lost 1.5 inches from my bum and hips and feel a hell of a lot more toned. I still have cellulite so it didn’t get rid of that, but the pants leave your skin very smooth and do help with the tone in your legs and bum… but then again so does exercise!
So what's my final opinion? I think that the Zaggora pants are a good workout pants once you get over the noise as that is a little embarrassing and hard to explain. I like that they are colourful and tight fitting as it makes me feel more confident when I'm working out. They are very flattering, look good and help improve your skin tone. However I don't think I would buy them myself as they are a little out of my price range as I buy and wear a lot of workout clothes so need them to be affordable.
Have you ever tried the Zaggora Workout Pants? What did you think about the noise? Have you been tempted to give them ago?

For many people eating carbs regularly is a no no. It’s not bad for your diet, a healthy diet is a balanced one, but many people, myself included choose to not eat certain carbs as their body doesn’t react well to them. I personally tend to avoid simple carbs such as bread as it makes me bloat and feel terrible. I prefer to eat complex carbs found in rice, sweet potato and vegetable alongside a lot of protein… hello Spinach, chicken and Greek Yoghurt! So when I was told about High Protein Bread I was very excited! Bread that I could possibly include in my diet… an interesting idea!
Dr Zak’s Protein Bread* is made from natural ingredients that are formulated to deliver the perfect balance between protein and carbohydrates. So although the bread does contain some carbs it isn’t as carb heavy as the other breads on the market.
There are over 30g of protein in just two slices which is a similar amount to the 36g you find in a typical chicken breast. As well as being full of protein the bread is packed full of 8 essential amino acids for muscle growth and energy, fibre and Omega 3’s.
Dr Zak’s say that their High Protein Bread is not only perfect for maintaining or building those sexy sculpted muscles we want, especially in our arms, abs and bum! But it is ideal for people who want to lose weight as it helps you stay fuller for longer than what your usual slice of bread does. I can completely confirm this as when I first tried the bread I went for my usual 2 slices but found after a slice and a half I could not eat another bite. The bread isn’t heavy it just really does fill you up!
I have been having my Dr Zak’s High Protein Bread after my workouts with peanut butter spread on top or for breakfast when I’m in a rush! I could not recommend it more to those who don’t usually eat carbs, but are craving a little bit of bread.
Have you ever tried of even heard of High Protein Bread such as this? Would you give it a try?

Since I wrote my blog post last week “New Challenges- A Life Update” I’ve been thinking that as much as I love my blog and the way it has been developing I feel like there is less of “me” in the blog posts. I don’t know whether you think this, or if it’s because I’ve been busy of late; either way it’s going to change! Yes my blog does primarily focus on health and fitness however for me it is also a personal diary and a “Lifestyle Blog”, so starting this week I am posting this blog post “Life” fortnightly so you can find out more about what I have been up to, what I am enjoying and what is motivating me. You may be reading this thinking you don’t really care about what I've been up to however I know that some of my readers (mainly my friends and family) will care.
If you read the blog post “ New Challenges” then you will know that I have recently started a new job and am in the process of moving to a completely new area of the country (even if it is only the next county down). As I was leaving a lovely company behind they were kind enough to throw me a leaving do, which resulting in me spending much of Saturday like photo 2. It was a great night, a late one which included lots of dancing! I started my new job on Wednesday and am very happy and relieved to find that my new colleagues are very kind, have been very welcoming and are happy to show me the ropes. I have had a few days to find my feet and have already started work on a number of tasks, so I’m excited to see what the future hold in my new position and company! So far the only downside to my new job is it’s location next to a million shops which I love! Already I have spent a lunch break indulging in some Primark shopping, hence the new cute pyjamas pictured above!
As I am moving out of Cumbria I am unhappy to be leaving behind my wonderful friends at Kendal Bootcamp. I have been making the most of the sessions I have left and been working hard and having lots of laughs, however I am already researching bootcamp classes in my new location and planning running routes so I can hit the ground running when I move! As I mentioned in my latest Wednesday’s Workout blog post I feel like I’ve been slacking on my fitness recently so have challenged myself with the 30 Day Burpee Challenge! Are you going to give it a try?
Food wise I have been loving my Yoo Moo Frozen Yoghurt as the perfect sweet treat after dinner sat in front of the tele! At only 160 calories per pot I can satisfy my relentless sweet tooth guilt free! To help my fitness journey the lovely people at Dr Zak’s and Maxinutriton kindly sent me some products to try. I have managed to nibble my way through Dr Zak’s High Protein Bread and you can find out my thoughts on it tomorrow! My Maxinutirtion drinks landed in my post-box on Friday so I have only just started trailing them, but even after the first one yesterday morning after bootcamp I know I love them! A protein drink to help my recovery after workouts that taste like strawberry milkshake is a winner for me!
Finally I hit 900 followers on bloglovin yesterday… yeah!!! As much as I blog for me, to know that there are 900 people who enjoy my writing and blog makes me a very happy girl, so thankyou so much! I’m getting very excited about hitting four figures sometime soon.

We all need a little me time every now and again. I am not the sort of girl who has weekly baths as I never seem to actually have the time to do that. But I understand the need to relax and have a soak for an hour every now and again. I think it is one of the only times when I don’t have my phone or iPad in hand and I’m not busy working out, blogging, taking pictures, etc.
So the other evening Matt switched the football on and I took it as an opportunity to pamper myself and as I have some new favourite products I thought I could share with you what I am loving for my skin at the moment. So below are my picks for skin pampering at the moment.
Although Nivea Diamond Touch Cream Oil is actually as shower gel I use it as a soap while in the bath also. It smells gorgeous, is really creamy and lathers up great; perfect for shaving your legs! I love that it has the diamond shimmer in it, as it makes your skin look healthy and dewy and amazing in the summer sun (where did that go?)
Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub is one of my all time favourite skin products. It smells like maple syrup, is tough enough to actually scrub your skin, but soft enough to not damage it. I have previously written a review on it here.
Sanctuary Luxury Bath Float is an absolute dream! I love a lot of Sanctuary products mainly because of their smell. I always receive a load of these products at Christmas and on my birthday, but they are actually a luxuary product at a high street price. Whenever I use a Sanctuary Product I feel like I’m at a spa.
Soap and Glory The Greatest Scrub of All was a grower for me. This is actually my second tube and I have learnt to not keep the tube in the shower, as my last one ended up being watered down some how. This second tube is working much better for me, it is more of a gentle exfoliator so not good if you wanted something more powerful. But the beads in this exfoliator are tough enough to get in around the nose and scrub off dead skin, leaving you with smoother feeling skin.
eBody Face Cleansing Mitt* is again a grower on me. It is a alternative to face wipes. All you do is damp the mitt and wipe it over your face. The micro-brush technology removes all make-up and lotion from your face without having to use harmful and powerful cleansers. I had to try it a few time to really see the benefit, but am loving that it is a much gentler way to clean your skin. It is perfect for those with sensitive skin as you aren’t using harsh chemicals on your skin. I use this when I am pampering or when in a rush to wash my face as its quick but gentle and relaxing.
Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed is my current facemask choice. I don’t think it is my favourite, as for me it’s not powerful enough, I don’t feel like my skin is totally clean and purified after using it. I much prefer clay or self heating masks as feel they really open my pores and clean them out. If anyone has any recommendations for me then let me know!
Soap and Glory Genius Amazing Foot Cream is probably one of the few footcreams I have tried but I do love it. It is refreshing and very moisturising. I admit I use it on myself and on Matt… everyone needs to look after their feet not just us women! It isn’t sticky and really soaks into the skin.
Soap and Glory Smoothie Star is the perfect moisturiser after a relaxing bath. It smells divine! It really works well after using Soap and Glory Breakfast Scrub as they have similar smells. Although it is a strong moisturiser it still soaks well into the skin, however I wouldn’t use it every day as it doesn’t soak into your skin immediately, it’s more of a night-time product.
Fushi Really Good Cellulite Oil* smells amazing! I was a little sceptical as it’s an oil and I hate having products that don’t soak into my skin well, which a lot of the time are oil based products, however only a little bit of this oil goes a long way and it really does soak into your skin. I use a couple of drops of this one each of my thighs and bum as they are the only areas where I have a small amount of cellulite. It really helped my skin tone before my holiday and I felt a hell of a lot more confident in my bikini after using this oil. It is packed full of herbs that stimulate circulation and hence reduce the appearance of cellulite. To me it smells intense and citrus like; probably because of the grapefruit!
Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser is a staple in my skin care. I suffer from the dreaded oily t-zone so face moisturisers that work can be difficult to find, but for me nothing beats Simple! It moisturises my skin perfectly but still leaves a matt finish and perfect base for my foundation. Plus it a super cheap!
What do you think of my picks? Have you ever used any of these products? Or have I helped you find some to add to your wishlist?

For many the battle to lose weight is portion control. Many people over eat and don’t even realise they are, so when they try to lose weight and attempt to control their portion sizes, the hunger hits. When hunger strikes people very often grab the easiest thing they can get their hands on; very often this can be a bag of crisps or chocolate. Chocolate and crisp are not too bad for you in moderation, but if you are continually eating these in a battle to cure your hunger you can easily eat an extra 1400 calories in a week, which is a whole days worth of calories!
I myself was guilty of over eating. When I first moved home after university and went back to portion sizes I used to eat that my mum still eats I felt like I was being starved. I was always hungry, but after a few months I became used to eating smaller portions. If you are one of those who have recently decided to reduce their portion sizes then there are many products on the market that can help if the hunger is just too much to battle. Slimsticks* is one such a product. Slimsticks is a food supplement that quickly gets to work and stops you thinking about food. Slimsticks helps you feel full and cut out snacking.
Slimsticks contains Konjac which expands in the stomach making you feel full very quickly. With more liquid consumed the feeling of fullness increases. Three to four hours after having your Slimstick drink the palm and oats oils get to work. Your brain senses undigested fat telling you are still full or not hungry. This ensures that you stay fuller for longer. Slimsticks then digest through your colon. With only 40 calories in a Slimstick drink you won’t ingest too many empty calories.
Essentially Slimsticks is a filler. A product that makes you feel full without having to eat anything. The idea is that you take your Slimstick drink about half and hour before your meal and you won’t over eat as you will feel fuller quicker and for longer. In this way Slimsticks is ideal for those starting out on their weight loss journey who are struggling with the smaller portion sizes and hunger. Slimsticks can help you feel full despite reducing your food or calorie intake. In my opinion they aren’t a long term option, but a tool to help those first starting out.
I was very sceptical of Slimsticks but decided to give them a trial , not because I struggle with hunger but to see if they actually do help you feel full and I was pleasantly surprised. I waited until I was feeling hungry and ready for my lunch and would drink a Slimsticks drink, pretty much as soon as I had finished the drink I felt my hunger subside. The drink does expand when in your stomach and stops you feeling hungry. After my Slimsticks drink I would eat my lunch at a much slower pace and found that I would not get my usual 3/4 o clock cravings as I was still feeling full. The drink itself for me was a little strange to drink, yes it tastes like strawberry, but the texture for me was a little weird and not the most pleasant. But in a bid to give it a fair trial and review I made it and downed it each day for 10 days. I can’t say if I lost weight as I don’t weight myself, but I did feel less hungry and fuller for longer. I wouldn’t use these personally as I prefer to eat clean and fillers don’t have a place in my “Food is fuel” lifestyle.
Do you struggle with your portion sizes? Have you ever heard or tried Slimsticks? Are there other products that a similar to this on the market that you have tried?

I feel like I have been lagging on the fitness front recently. Apart from my Bootcamp classes and the occasional run I haven't really been pushing myself, so to get my motivation back I've decided to embark on a challenge. Not just any challenge the 30 Day burpee challenge. If you don't know what burpees watch the video below and you will come to the revelation that they are pure torture! They are a personal trainers favourite as they require no equipment but get great results in minimal time as they work all your body!
A burpee is a combination of a squat, push-up and vertical jump but they are the ultimate full body exercise, you work your chest, arms, thighs, and abs and they are one of the best exercises to burn fat, because they are a high intensity cardio move. Plus they are time efficient, convenient and free! No equipment needed, quick to carry out, only one move to master and you only need a little space.
At the moment my burpees aren't the best so what better way to improve than through practice and repetition. At the moment I can carry them out for 30 seconds to a minute, but not very quickly, so hopefully within a month I'll be a hell of a lot better! I started this challenge on Monday so today is day 3 for me and already I feel like I am improving! Hopefully my day 3 I will have them mastered, be a bit fitter and see some results!
How do you feel about burpees? Are they torture to you too? Or have you never come across them before? Are you going to join me on this challenge?

I am always on the look out for healthier alternatives to my cravings for cake and chocolate. I always struggle with my diet, as I love food so much. I workout a lot and often and know I should eat better, but my cravings for sugar are sometimes just too much, so in a battle to resist chocolate bars and cakes I have been trying to find sweet guilt free treats and today's recipe is one of them.
I had seen a baked banana recipe on my tumblr dashboard and thought about trying it myself and adding something extra; the marshmallows! Yes there is sugar in this recipe so it’s not the healthiest, but it is a damn slight better for you than that cake you’re thinking about. With only one banana, two marshmallows and 8 chocolate buttons, there isn’t anything complicated about this recipe.
Simply slice open your banana, making sure you for not pierce through to the other side. Then fill your banana with the chocolate buttons and marshmallows, make sure you do not over fill it as it will soon become an unhealthy treat! Simply wrap the banana in tin foil and place in a preheated oven for around 20 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallow have melted. These are also perfect for BBQ’s! So if the weather ever improves add them to your next barbeque! Simply bake then unwrap your gooey goodness, grab a spoon and enjoy!

Although I have been posting quite regularly, I feel like I haven't actually been putting much of "me" in my blog spots recently, and I think a lot of that is down to the change that has been going on in my life recently.
If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may have noticed me mentioning a new job... and this is where this post is coming from. I had not even been looking for a job, however I've learnt through life that you have to grab opportunities when they come your way and that's what I did. Matt had seen on Twitter a job being advertised that he knew I would love at a company that was just around the corner from where he works, rather than my current place of work which is 60 miles away. I went for the job interview and was successful.
There have been a lot of changes taking place over the past few weeks. Only 3 weeks ago I was living and working in Kendal in the Lake District in a job that I enjoyed with a company who I am ever thankful to, managing all their marketing and online activities, and now only 3 weeks later my apartment is on the market, I start my new job in a matter of days and Matt and I need to find somewhere to live in Lancashire... otherwise we'll be homeless.
I am extremely excited to start my new job as I know I am going to be challenged, have new opportunities and will love it plus I will have the chance to work with bloggers which is always fun! However I am a little sad to leave my old work behind, after making such good friends with my colleagues, and I am a little anxious about having to find somewhere to live so quickly, especially in an area I have never even really visited before... never mind know! Plus I HATE moving house as I get very stressed and anxious... so I have that to look forward to.
But life is for living and for grabbing opportunities, and that’s exactly what I’m doing. So starting Wednesday I will be working in a new company, in a new job position, will be looking for a new home, in an area Matt and I don't really know. But I do know I'm excited!
We will miss the friends and family that we will be leaving behind, but are ready to see what the next few years bring down in Lancashire. It's only down the road... as I keep saying to my mum who is going to miss me like mad... it's not like I'm moving back to France. But I am actually excited about being unsettled for a while... not knowing what is coming around the corner fills you with anticipation.
I'm ready for my next challenge in life.

As a girl who spends half of her time in her gym gear, I am always on the look out for cute new gym gear, so when Simply Feet contacted me about a month ago to ask whether I would be interested in trying their latest running shoes the Dr Andre Weil Rhythm Shoes*, I jumped at the chance!
I chose the very pretty coral and silver pair as if I’m working out and looking like a hideous sweaty monster then I may as well try and look cute! They arrived very quickly and I was very impressed with them on first impressions. On receiving them I noticed that their insoles are different to others trainers I have, so I looked into the science behind the Dr Weil trainers.
Simply Feet state that “the Dr Andrew Weil Rhythm Shoes restore your feet to their natural alignment. They are Podiatrist-designed, have removable biomechanical orthotic foot-bed, and feature a deep heel cup and arch support that stabilizes, supports and naturally re-aligns the feet. They have a rebound midsole to provide long-lasting cushioning and shock absorption.”
So basically these trainers are super supportive, help ensure your feet are correctly aligned at all times, and help prevent injuries that are caused by improper footwear. When I first tried them on they felt a little weird, as obviously I’m not used to that kind of support in my trainers, they really do cushion your feet so well! I persevered and took them for a spin at my bootcamp class as that it only and hour long, and Simply Feet recommend only wearing these trainers for a few hours for the first few days to allow your feet to adjust to the enhance support.
Everyone complimented me on my new cute trainers when at bootcamp, so that’s always great! When I first started running in them they again felt a little odd, but again it’s because I’m not used to that level of support. After a few sprints across the park I soon became comfortable with my new trainers and have been wearing them regularly since. I really am enjoying the comfort they give me and feel like they give me an extra spring in my step when I’m out running.
Have you ever heard or tried or heard of the Dr Andrew Weil Rhythm Shoe range? Or have you invested in some trainers with extra support for your workouts? Which brand are your favourite?

My discovery of Yoo Moo Frozen Yoghurt was completely by accident. It happened by seeing an instagram picture of someone enjoying what looked like an amazing flavour of Ben and Jerry icecream; I was insanely jealous and headed straight to Asda in search of it. As soon as I found myself in the Frozen Dessert aisle of Asda staring at the Ben and Jerry’s icecream the guilt hit me… was I really going to give into a craving! Did I really want this calorie and fat laden icecream? Yes the first few bites would be amazing, but I wouldn’t stop and would probably end up eating the whole tub and feeling really disappointed with myself. So after having a mini argument in my head I decided to see if there was anything that was similar that would leave me feeling less guilty, and that's when I found Yoo Moo.
I had not realised you could buy Yoo Moo frozen yoghurt in mini tubs in the supermarket, I thought it was only available at their Frozen Yoghurt Bars on the high-street. I am not a massive icecream snob so to me frozen yoghurt is exactly the same as icecream, it’s cold, refreshing, sweet and creamy. I picked up the strawberry tub for matt and obviously the chocolate one for myself.
It was;t until I was home that I actually looked at the nutritional content and was pleasantly surprised. One tub of the Yoo Moo Frozen Yoghurt only contains around 151 calories! Who knew icecream could be so yummy and so healthy! I love that they try to imitate the Ben and Jerry sorts of ice-creams by adding extra treats such as dried fruit, chocolate stars or even chocolate brownie pieces. These are definitely my new favourite treat for those nights when I need something sweet.
Have you ever tried Yoo Moo Frozen Yoghurt? Do you enjoy frozen yoghurt or are you an icecream snob and prefer the real deal? What is your go to sweet treat in the evenings?

If you don’t know by now I am a massive fan of high protein yoghurt, take away my Greek yoghurt and I would struggle to find something to eat or make for dinner. I eat high protein yoghurt at least once a day and it features heavily in recipes I try. My latest high protein yoghurt find is the Danone Danio yoghurts*.
The Danone Danio yoghurts come in six different flavours; Strawberry, Pineapple, Cherry, Blueberry, Peach, Raspberry. Each is a layer of the fruit topped with extremely thick and creamy Greek style yoghurt. These little pots of yumminess are perfect after workouts or for dessert. They only have around 130 calories in a pot and cram in 13g of protein, which is the same as one egg! They do have a bit of sugar in them, due to the fruit layer in the bottom, but they are a hell of a lot healthier than your usual fatty, calorie laden dessert.
I love the Raspberry flavour the most as it reminds me of cheesecake… that is how thick these yoghurts are! I love that the yoghurts aren’t sharp or tangy, just very mild and yummy! They are on offer in many supermarkets, I managed to get 3 for £2 last week, so you can buy the whole range for only £4! I stocked right up and my fridge is full of them!
Have you tired the Danio yoghurts yet? Which Greek Yoghurts do you recommend and what is your favourite sweet treat or after exercise snack?
